Hume thinks there are non-selfish ends, I believe human beings act out of self-interest only.

For Hume human beings are so benevolent that they might even sacrifice their utility for that of others’, I believe that we are always balancing what we give and what we get in return, and that people have different ways to combine their utility (i.e. a man who donates $10k gets an internal reward that overcomes this amount).

We don’t get pleasure from helping others, we help others to get pleasure.
